In Class
Today in class we completed the following tasks:
- First students complete their week 7 vocabulary test.
- Next, we spent the first part of the block reviewing the answers for the homework passage
- Lastly, students worked to complete a sample English passage

Today in class we completed the following tasks:
- First students complete their week 6 vocabulary test.
- Next, I spent most of the block reviewing grammatical skills for the English portion of the ACT
- Lastly, students complete a 15 question sample English passage from the ACT

Today in class, the girls and I completed the following tasks:
- First we reviewed Wrong Answer Traps and Passage structure.
- Next, students completed a passage in class.
- We analyzed the passage together and discussed how the passage used wrong answer traps to trick students.

- All students took their week 3 vocabulary tests
- All male students continued to work on their College Exploration Worksheet

- Starting next week, each vocab test will incorporate words from the previous tests. In order to students to be successful, they should be reviewing and learning all words, even those from past tests.
- Study for next weeks vocabulary test
- Boys, continue working on your College Exploration Worksheet. It is due on Wednesday 14-Dec-2011. You will have Monday in class to work on it.
Wednesday: 07-Dec-2011 ACT Test Prep
In Class
Today in class we completed the following tasks
- While the boys were suppose to work on their College Worksheets, the schools internet was not cooperating. As a result, we spent the block discussing the ACT Reading Test.
- The test is divided into 5 reading sections
- Each question has 10-15 questions
- Students will have 45 minutes to answer all of the questions in this sections
- Roughly 9 minutes per section of 30 seconds per question
- We talked about the different question types as well:
- Inference
- General Inference
- Detailed Question
- Author’s perspective
- Lastly, we went through a reading and discussed how to identify a question, how to eliminate answers, and how to select the correct answer

- Today in the class, all female students worked to complete their college choice investigation project.

- All students should be studying for the two vocabulary tests that will be administrated on Friday 01-Dec-2011.
Monday: 28-Nov-2011 Act Test Prep
In Class
Today in class we completed the following tasks:
- Female students spent the class working on their college exploration spreadsheet.
- This project will be due on Monday December 5th. Students will only have one more day, Wednesday 30-Nov-2011, to work on their college exploration spreadsheet.
